Role Summary:

The Case Management Assistant will play a key role in supporting the case management team by assisting in day-to-day case activities, organizing case materials, and facilitating communication between clients, law enforcement, and other stakeholders. This position requires organizational skills, basic legal knowledge, and a commitment to providing excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with case progression, maintain case files, and ensure all necessary documentation is up to date in the case management system.
  • Assist in communicating with clients, law enforcement, and external counsel to coordinate activities and ensure information flows smoothly.
  • Help with managing case deadlines and assist in organizing case-related tasks.
  • Provide research and investigative support to the case management team, ensuring all relevant facts and evidence are gathered.
  • Assist in drafting and preparing case-related documents, including enforcement solution recommendations.
  • Support the team in designing and implementing strategic enforcement solutions tailored to individual cases.
  • Perform billing analysis and assist with client reporting as needed.

Skillset and Knowledge Requirements:

Hard Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
  • Basic understanding of legal concepts and processes, especially those related to brand protection.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Investigative skills, with the ability to conduct research and gather relevant information.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and ability to support case workflows effectively.
  • Competent in conflict resolution, communication, and online technical tools.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with clients and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving orientation with the ability to support the case management team effectively.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in an office setting, ideally within a case management, legal, or administrative role.
  • Basic knowledge of project management and legal studies (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience with or an interest in brand protection or intellectual property fields is a plus.
